Indonesian job site Qerja announced Wednesday that it had raised Series A financing from Indosat-SoftBank joint venture SB ISAT at a ‘eight digit US dollar figure valuation’.
The company did not reveal the deal details, but said the financing round was one of the highest Series A valuations of any Southeast Asian startups.

Finance and insurance portal Compare88 Group announced today that it has raised an undisclosed amount in Series A funding from Singapore-based Monk’s Hill Ventures.
Compare88 owns and operates the CekAja.com brand in Indonesia – the country’s highest-trafficked independent finance and insurance portal, as well as the eCompareMo.com brand in the Philippines. The company will use the funds to further accelerate growth in Southeast Asia, expand the team and build out its technology.

Ideabox alumnus Dealoka sealed an undisclosed Series A funding from SB ISAT Fund. The startup becomes the very first entity that gets funded by SB ISAT Fund since the VC was introduced eight months ago.
SB ISAT Fund manages US$50 million which is rooted from a collaboration between SoftBank Japan and Indosat and aims to facilitate the growth of startups in Indonesia that focus on e-commerce, digital and social media, and mobile finance services.
Dealoka is a marketing platform which “restores” the way deals promotion are done through location-based services. Since its launching back in June last year, Dealoka, which is available for iOS and Android, has been downloaded more than 35,000 times.
