3 Indonesian startups to watch out for in 2017: Meet ideabox batch 4

Let´s rock Indonesia

We are proud to announce our newest batch of ideabox startups. After an intensive two-day bootcamp, ideabox has chosen its finalists on Sunday, February 12th. Breaking its own records, we received the highest number of applications to date for the acceleration program. “The continuously growing number of applications for ideabox Accelerator shows we are on the right track.”, says Managing Director of ideabox, Andy Zain. He is proud of the positive feedback ideabox receives in Indonesia but also abroad. “Our applicants are coming from a variety of countries. They recognize the high potential of Indonesia.”

After a long selection process, we invited 15* startups to participate in a two-day bootcamp held at Indosat headquarter on February 11 and 12. During the ideabox Bootcamp, the participants had to complete quite a number of assignments and challenges and pitch their business idea to top mentors and industry experts. “We are looking for kick-ass entrepreneurs, who show passion, commitment and hard work”, said Emil Reven, Program Manager of ideabox. “We know it´s tough to add 600 new subscribers to your mailing list within a few hours or to reach 1000 social media engagements on a Saturday night. But they are entrepreneurs, they need to show that they are able to come up with creative solutions to problems.” And they did. It´s been intense 48 hours with little time for sleep.

“But it was an unforgettable experience and we learnt a lot!”, so Susandi Putra from Truztee.

The three winners were announced this Monday, when mentors, startups, business leaders, media, venture capitalists and investors gathered for an exclusive awarding night.

Here are the 3 startups that made it to the ideabox accelerator:

  • Andalin, a one-stop service solution to help SMEs trading business through customs clearance integration services.

  • Ayoslide, a mobile marketing platform with incentivized product ads on users’ lockscreens and in the Ayoslide app.

  • Sevva a rental service platform simplifying users’ renting and leasing experience of daily objects from each other offering escrow service.

In addition to the three winners that have been selected to join the acceleration program, Indosat Ooredoo announced to sign partnership agreements for go-to-market support with three other startups, namely Fishare, KelasKita and Kliring.

“Congrats to all the winners. Let´s rock Indonesia and start collaborating among us!” so Herwinto Sutantyo (CEO of Geraiku.ID), one of the bootcamp participants.

We can´t wait to start the ideabox Alpha Accelerator program early April and lead the startups through 120 days of mentoring, workshops, business model optimization, product development and customer validation.
